Indian weightlifters Shines on Day 4 of the 2026 Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships in Gandhinagar

India continued its impressive campaign at the 2026 AWF Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships as Ajith Narayana delivered a remarkable performance on Day 4 of the competition, securing Bronze Medals in the Men’s 71 kg category in both the Clean & Jerk and Overall Total events.
Competing against some of Asia’s finest weightlifters, Ajith showcased exceptional strength and composure to register a total lift of 314 kg, including an outstanding 174 kg effort in Clean & Jerk, earning India a well-deserved place on the podium.
The Gold Medal in the category was won by Won Ju Ri (PRK) with a dominant total lift of 351 kg, while Jian Chen (CHN) secured the Silver Medal with an aggregate of 335 kg.
