YAN LI POWERS CHINA TO TRIPLE GOLD IN WOMEN’S +86KG

2026 Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships

China’s Yan Li delivered a spectacular performance on the final day of the 2026 Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships, winning all three Gold Medals in the Women’s +86kg category.

Yan Li dominated the event with lifts of 145kg in Snatch, 178kg in Clean & Jerk, and a total of 323kg, sealing a memorable finish for China at the Championships.

Adding to her remarkable achievement, Yan Li also set:

• IWF World Record (WR) – Snatch: 145kg
• AWF Asian Record (AR) – Snatch: 145kg

Medal Winners – Women’s +86kg

witnessed thrilling action in the Men’s 110kg category at the Mahatma Mandir Exhibition Hall, Gandhinagar, with Asian weightlifters producing world-class performances.

China’s Liu Huanhua emerged as the overall champion with a commanding total lift of 420kg, securing the gold medal in Total and Snatch categories. Iran’s Alireza Nasiri dominated the Clean & Jerk discipline with an impressive 231kg lift.

India’s Harcharan Singh delivered a spirited performance before the home crowd, finishing seventh overall with a total of 338kg.

The President, Indian Weightlifting Federation congratulated the medal winners and participants for their performances which reflect the growing standard and competitiveness of Asian weightlifting. The Men’s 110kg category showcased strength, determination and sportsmanship.
